◆Each time the Company obtains personal information directly from customers, we shall clearly inform the customers of the intended use of such information. The personal information will not be used or provided beyond the scope of use announced in advance.
◆The Company has appointed a personal information manager in order to enact legitimate and appropriate management and observance as well as continuous improvements on the management practices.
◆The Company esteems the individual rights concerning personal information. When a customer requires disclosure of his/her personal information, the Company shall respond to such requests to a reasonable extent upon verification of the identity of the customer. Also, when there is a mistake or correction in the personal information, the Company will make corrections or deletion to a reasonable extent upon verification of the identity of the customer.
Definition of Personal Information
Personal information means information on individuals that includes details such as individuals' address, name, age, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, and such other information that enables identifying specific individuals. Personal information also includes information that by itself does not enable identification but that can easily be collated with other information to enable the identifying of specific individuals.
The Company does not provide a customer's personal information to third parties without the customer's consent, except the following cases.
Where necessary for legally stipulated business carried out by a government agency, local authority, or a commissioned party, and obtaining the agreement of customers could adversely affect the carrying out of said business.
Where courts, public prosecutors, police, bar associations, consumer centers, or any organizations vested with the authority of these bodies, demand that personal information be disclosed.
Where a customer himself/herself expressly demands the disclosure or provision of his/her personal information to a third party.
Where disclosure and provision of personal information is permitted by law and regulations.
